Kapa Haka at Saint Peter Chanel is offered to any Y4-8 tamariki who want to participate. It is led by Miha Brown and is taken once a week from 2.30-3.30pm.

Kapa Haka at Saint Peter Chanel is about fostering a sense of cultural identity and belonging, creating a connection to Māori culture and developing a deeper understanding and appreciation of te reo, tikanga and te ao Māori. It offers learning opportunities that build confidence, leadership, and discipline, as well as promoting physical, cognitive, social and spiritual well-being.

The Kapa Haka roopu have the opportunity to perform throughout the year at events such as the Catholic Schools Cultural Festival, Waikato Full Primary Kapa Haka Festival, production (every even year), Matariki, Māori Language Week,  as well as supporting the school in leading mihi whakatau/poowhiri.
