Physical distancing - In Level 2 this means children and staff maintain a physical distance so that they are not breathing on or touching each other. We will be educating our children on this practice.
Mass gatherings – educational facilities are not considered mass gatherings because they are managed environments. There are no restrictions on numbers of children and teachers indoors or outdoors at schools.
There are no restrictions on groups of children mixing with others on site.
School playgrounds, sports equipment use and activities can resume. Contact sports is ok.
Hand sanitiser at entry to classrooms and in bathrooms.
Regular hand cleaning throughout the school day. (Some students prefer soap)
All surfaces will be disinfected and cleaned daily.
Water fountains are still not in use. Children should bring their own drink bottle. Paper cups will also be available for use in emergencies. (Remind students no sharing bottles or food)
Children presenting with any signs of illness should not be at school.
The School Office will contact parents if their child becomes ill during the day. Parents will be required to collect their child from school immediately.
Parents drop off and collect their children from the gate in the school car park or the front entrance on Vardon Road. (The exception is the N.E. students and their parents. A Tracing Register will be located in Rooms 6 and 10 and must be completed by visiting parents)
The School Office is open, however distancing requirements will be maintained and parents will be required to fill in the Tracing Register.
SKIDS before and after school programme will be available.
Drum and music lessons continue
Year 7 and 8 will attend Technicraft at Hamilton Junior High
Kapahaka and Pasifika will continue
Assemblies will continue.
