AIMS Games Feedback Survey

The purpose of this survey is for the St Peter Chanel Catholic School Board of Trustees to gain information from the school community regarding our school's involvement in the AIMS Games, both historically and looking forward.

AIMS Games are a sporting tournament, that provides Year 7 and 8 (intermediate) students an opportunity to compete as an individual or as a team against the best of their age across 27 different sporting codes. The week-long tournament is held during September each year and is based in Tauranga. This year it attracted over 14,000 participants.

In 2025, two SPC teams, netball and futsal (20 students), participated. There were also five students who competed in individual sports - swimming, mountain biking, gymnastics, trampoline and golf. The total cost was $16,581.00 which included accommodation, food, event fees and sports uniforms.

The Board appreciates all the work, organisation, fundraising, and support this year's AIMS Games teams received from parent organisers, parents, and sponsors.

The school, historically, has encouraged self-funded individuals who wished to participate in the AIMS Games i.e. swimmers, mountain bikers, runners, gymnasts and rock climbers.

This year the SPC AIMS Games organisers arranged a number of fundraising activities and parents then paid a set fee - either $491 for futsal or $684 for netball.
