Q
I don't have a Preference Card for my child.  Where do I get one from?
A
Ring the Parish Office and make an appointment to meet with the Parish Priest.  He can organise a Preference Card for you.

Q
I have filled in all my Enrolment forms, now what do I do?
A
Call in or phone our school office to make an appointment with the Principal to discuss your enrolment and get a tour of the school.

Q
My husband is a Catholic and went to a Catholic school but we don't go to church and I'm not a Catholic. Can our children still come to St Peter Chanel School?
A
Yes, it is possible.  Contact the Parish Office to make an appointment with the Parish Priest about obtaining a Preference Card for your children.

Q
How many school visits will my child have prior to starting school?
A
The school office will book you one school visit.  Any additional visits will be organised in conjunction with the class room teacher.

Q
My oldest child is 3 years old and my other child is 1.  When can I enrol and do I enrol both children at the same time?
A
It is never too early to enrol.  Enrol your first child and if your circumstances or living arrangements change, you can always notify the school about cancelling the enrolment.

Q
My child starts school in 2 months time.  I have completed all my enrolment forms, met the Principal, now what happens?
A
We will contact you in a month's time to organise a school visit for your child.

Q
How long is a class visit and do I stay with my child?
A
Yes.  Come to the school office and you will get taken over to the child's class room.  It is likely that both of you will stay in class until morning tea and then you are free to go.  Some parents use this as a good time to fit and buy the school uniform.
